About Me

Dr. Steven Welish is a board certified cardiologist and internist with more than 30 years of experience, focusing on disease prevention and overall cardiac health. Dr. Welish takes an individualized approach to care that takes into account each patient’s history, risk factors, and preferences. With every treatment plan, his goal is to help people feel better as quickly as possible.

Dr. Welish takes pride in being at Holy Name because it offers the benefits of a major medical center in a community environment, with an emphasis on provider collaboration. He believes the most rewarding part of his work is seeing patients’ health improve.

Dr. Welish earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont. He completed his residency training in internal medicine and his cardiology fellowship at Westchester County Medical Center. Dr. Welish is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
