Dr. Rory Ulloque is Holy Name’s Vice Chair of Family Medicine and Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program. He is a compassionate, clinically-accomplished physician who provides care across all age groups and values the relationships he builds with patients over time. In addition, he is passionate about teaching and training the physicians of the future.
Growing up in a historically underserved community in Northern New Jersey, Dr. Ulloque experienced firsthand the need for accessible, high quality healthcare. Becoming a physician was his way of giving back. He chose to pursue family medicine because it offered him the opportunity to care for people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, and become close with their families over time. He is honored to provide support during celebratory moments and times of difficulty, always leading with humility and humanity.
Dr. Ulloque is excited to develop Holy Name’s family medicine practice during this critical time, when primary care doctors are in short supply. By training the next generation of culturally competent physicians in Bergen County, Holy Name will make quality medical care more accessible in the community.
Dr. Ulloque completed his medical education and residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. At RWJMS, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program. He was also a physician advisor at RWJ University Hospital. Dr. Ulloque is a respected author and speaker who has received multiple awards for his service to the community.
